Description
The Fae from olden times were known for their pompous, bombastic ways, and their pretentious views on nearly everything, and while they keep a surreal outlook on the world, many Fae nowadays are willing to admit their world isn't as perfect as their predecessors tried to make it out to be. The Fae stand by a rule that no one being should rule, and though throughout history there are Fae queens and kings, the title is more of a display of power, and any subjects are willing followers. These rules were broken in the old times, when Fae exerted themselves over the Pleryn, small creatures that built nests on homunculi of their own creation. These bodies they made were said to be exceptionally strong and couldn't be slain, but the Pleryn themselves were small and easily intimated, and were often cruelly coerced into work. They were eventually freed when they fused their powers to create a giant homunculus that threw their subjugators over the edge of the world. The freed Pleryn were said to have built a city somewhere hidden, but many of their kin still wander the wilds looking for it. Pleryn often search strange corners of the Fae Realm, and often phase into Hiraeth's ruins and underground, giving travellers something to scratch their heads at.
