Description

Flying up high over the clouds, moving in cycles around the world, is the Hanging Gardens, an island where the flowers are as huge and dense as the trees in the forest. The arcane nurtures these plants, and variety of beasts are attracted to the wealth of herbs and honeys that can only be found here. Most creatures mingling or hunting along the flying islands take to the wing, but others have found different ways of sailing the winds. Born from puffs of pollen from giant flowers, the Woolufoos are shot into the air at birth and, from then on, gently float around hither and thither, some lingering around the island while others let themselves get joyously lost into the big blue of the sky. They are masters of navigating currents and updrafts, though they don't take the job that seriously and get blown around to all sorts of places. As they drift and rebalance themselves, they constantly spin, making them a dizzying sight to behold.

Woolufoo are peaceful and fun-loving sprites and on their travels to the ground below, they often stop to say hello to other sprites and any animals who wish to. Their bulbous head is always emitting a magical dander that is said to loosen one's grip to the pull of earth beneath them, letting them jump incredibly high, bound over great distances, and fall back to the ground slowly and softly. Woolufoo know only bliss, but sometimes monsters on the wing or ambitious alchemists try to hassle them on their adventure, which the Woolufoo doesn't take to kindly. Their woolly head turns a deep blue as their eyes glow white and they burst electrical sparks outwards, their plushy noggin being quite prone to static when riled. A Woolufoo who feels bamboozled may even keep a static field around it for days before calming down. This static shock also releases a surplus of powder, making it unintentionally dangerous when poured out as a miasma. Ingesting too much by mistake may make flying beasts launch themselves miles high with each flap of the wings, and those on the ground may begin floating and spinning in the air against their will. Woolufoo would rather mind their own business, and will let those that play and talk with them peacefully take some of their powder freely if they wish to research it further or simply save it for another time.
